“This is exciting for the program and a great opportunity for some of our players to see what the standards and expectations are at the next level of play,” Discoveries Executive Director Dave Carton said. “It has been an ambition of ours for a while now to venture into the adult game for the men, and we will operate this program to the highest professional standards possible. Work will start immediately, for player recruitment will be an important aspect of executing a successful program.
“We look forward to providing our community with a program that we can all be proud of. Connecting this program with the rest of the male players at DSC will be an important part of how we structure the program. We want to provide our academy and select players with positive footballing role models that they can look up to.”
ID sessions for the 2019 season will be listed via social media as well as the upcoming schedule.
Discoveries Soccer Club will also enter its second year of WPSL-the women’s largest soccer league in the world-under head coach Aaron Weldon. ID sessions for the WPSL team will also be announced via social media.
