Annual General Meeting August 9

Dear Discoveries Soccer Club Parents,

Discoveries Soccer Club is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide an exceptional soccer education experience for our area youth. The many successes our teams and players enjoy and celebrate could not be possible without our incredible staff, coaches and volunteers.

While DSC’s day-to-day Club and team operations are managed by our Executive Director Dave Carton, Beth Balint, our Club Registrar/Administrator, and the great coaching staff, DSC’s overall governance is performed by an elected, volunteer Board of Directors. The DSC Board of Directors is comprised of the following:

President (2-year term)
Vice President (2-year term)
Secretary (2-year term)
Treasurer (2-year term)
One, 2-year At Large member
Two, 1-year At Large members

The service terms of DSC Board Members are staggered so as to ensure the continuity of current DSC initiatives.

At our upcoming DSC Membership-wide Annual Meeting in Thursday, August 9, an election will be held to fill the following open Board seats:

Vice President
One -1-year Member At Large
One -2 year Member At Large

Nominees should be passionate and dedicated individuals who and have skills, experience, and desire to help the Club move forward while consistently maintaining the wellbeing of the players. Individuals who volunteer their time to Discoveries Soccer Club get one incentive… the feeling of pride knowing they are part of something very special.

If you would like additional information on the DSC Board, or would like to have your name included on the ballot, please contact me or Beth Balint (DSC Administrator/Registrar) no later than July 18th.
