Ralph Lundy to play for Real Colorado Foxes.

Date Posted: 5/29/2012

Ralph Lundy, DSC 90 Green, is one of three College of Charleston men's soccer players who will be developing their talents this summer in the United Soccer Leagues' Premier Development League (PDL), the highest level of men's amateur soccer competition in the United States. Lundy will be playing this summer for the PDL team Real Colorado Foxes.

The PDL brings in top players from the collegiate and youth ranks across the nation and allows the players to compete at a professional-quality level without sacrificing their amateurism or NCAA eligibility.

Considered the top developmental men's league in North America, the PDL features 73 teams within four conferences across the United States and Canada. The PDL season consists of 16 regular season matches for each team, eight home and eight away, and provides elite collegiate players the opportunity to taste a higher level of competition while maintaining their eligibility. In addition to league play, PDL teams compete in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup as well as various exhibitions. The PDL has proven to be an important stepping-stone for top professionals now playing throughout the world.
