Congratulations to fomer DSC Player Alex Martinez

Alex Martinez captured a place on College Soccer News's National Team of the Week for his performance  this past weekend.

College Soccer News named Alex Martinez, now at NC State- one of its National Players of the Week for his performance in the Wolfpack's wins over Delaware and Santa Clara at the John Rennie Nike Invitational.

Martinez netted a goal and contributed two assists in the Pack's 6-0 rout of Delaware. He also provided the game-winner in State's 2-1 win over Santa Clara. Those achievements earned him MVP honors for the tournament.

Behind Martinez, the Wolfpack has leapt out to a 4-0 start for the first time since 1987. State returns to action Friday, September 7 with an 8 p.m. match at UNC Greensboro.
