DSC Competitive Recreation Program
Online Registration - for the Fall 2013 REGISTER HERE
The DSC Competitive Recreation Program is an alternative for players and parents who are interested in a higher level of commitment than traditional recreation soccer. This is for the experienced recreation player aged 8-14 . We provide our volunteer coaches with coaching clinics, licensing, and assistance on the field from DSC Staff Coaches. Our program consists of team practices 1x per week, open pool practice with a DSC Coach 1x week, games plus a season ending Championship tournament. This program is run by Discoveries and is not connected to the City of Rock Hill. Seasonal evaluations are used to roster players to a team. We strive to create balanced teams for competitive play. Please keep in mind that we are a volunteer-driven organization.
Seasons: the program runs fall and spring. The fall season begins in September and ends in November, the spring season begins in February and ends in April.

Time slots are 5-6:30 pm and 6:30-8:00 pm. Practice nights and times may vary based on coach and field availability. We cannot guarantee parent requests for preferred time slots. There will be 1-2 practices per week. If you have not heard from your coach within one week before the season’s first practice please contact us. Once placed on a team, players may not switch to another for any reason.
The number of games will depend on the number of teams per age group in the league. Games may be during the week or on Saturday or Sunday.
Players are required to wear shin guards to all games and practices.
Please bring: soccer ball and personal water.
Uniforms: (Fall uniforms will be used for both Fall and Spring seasons if your player participates in both seasons. There will be an opportunity to purchase extra shorts etc)
Players must wear the official uniform for games.
Decisions to cancel practices and games will be based on current weather conditions and/or field conditions and determined by the RH PRT. Normally, practices or games will not be cancelled until near the scheduled starting time. As soon as games are cancelled, the decision will be posted on the weather line. We will not make up any scheduled practices but will make every effort to make up games.
